Master Blaster Gets Salute Once Again; Mumbai Need 39 Runs to Win

sachinOctober 29 – Third day of Ranji Trophy was just the same as expected. A good number of populace arrived in the stadium to see Sachin Tendulkar batting live for the very last time in domestic cricket. A warm gesture was shown by team of Haryana also that lined up to welcome Master Blaster on the ground with claps and salutes.

Batting ahead of 224 runs scored on the second day of match, Haryana couldn’t do much today, setting a target of 240 runs for Mumbai to win. Wasim Jaffer and Kaustubh Pawar opened the batting for Mumbai. Apart from Pawar, good show of batting was shown Ajinkya Rahane after Jaffer’s dismissal. However, as soon as Rahane was out on 40 of 92 balls, crowd started cheering in noise and it was just to take a glimpse of ‘God of Cricket’ who entered in the ground to amaze crowd with kinds of shots he plays and of course he played an innings to be remembered for long time, scoring 55 runs of 122 balls.

It is Sachin’s final appearance in Ranji Trophy and he added one more half century in the record books what he got in 105 balls. That is what Sachin Tendulkar is all about – calm, will power to do something that is to remember for generations to come.

By the end of the third day game, Mumbai were 201-6 after 75 over game of the third day. Now what all they need is just 39 runs to win the game. Fourth and the very last day of the match is going to be very interesting. Zaheer Khan and Dabholkar were top performers from Mumbai team taking 4- 4 wickets each.
