India’s ODI and T20 Squads against Proteas to be Proclaimed Soon

sa1New Delhi, Friday, September 18 – When the Men in Blue will contest against South Africa early next month, focus of the skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be to start the tournament with a victory, which is pivotal to take lead in the series. Despite the fact that a couple of days yet remain for the BCCI to proclaim the playing XIs for the One-Day International matches and T20 International series in opposition to South Africa, it seems sure that a few players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane etc. will find the spot. The young boys have the ability to play best of their abilities and contribute in the team’s success.

Those who watched them play live know the ball will be hit hard if struck with sheer confidence. Most of the Indian players may smash the bowling of the rivals to win the match, leaving them in a state of surprise. The guests have been impressive whether contend in Indian climatic conditions or at their home turf. Considering them weak is not at all an option for India and it is certain the hosts can’t afford making this mistake at all. Just a few days are left for the 3 – match T20 International series, which is to be hosted at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on October 2, Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on October 5 and Eden Gardens in Kolkata on October 8.

The last blow may turn decisive if both teams level series by winning one match each.  India will try to continue their winning streak, while on the other hand, Zimbabwe will make efforts to register win, sending poor memories of the World Cup on the back foot. Not to forget that Dhoni’s boys logged a humongous win of 130 runs on Proteas during cricket carnival held this year at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. The sea of blue in the stadium made many to think as if the contest is taking place in somewhere in India.

Both Indian team and South Africa reached to the semi-finals but could go ahead after being defeated at the hands of Australia and New Zealand, respectively. Confidence will play major factor in India’s success against the tourists, who are never easy to beat. In close contests, the Indian camp logged win on South Africa as like the one in 2012 where the former beat the latter just by 1 run. Despite the victory in a nail-biting game, India were eliminated as they needed to restrict Proteas at 121 runs or below.

Since they failed to do what was required, both teams couldn’t make it to the other round. It was Pakistan who were through to the semi-finals. In the nutshell, taking into consideration the old records, South Africa, who are the mix of young and experienced cricketers, and India, who got enough reasons to be proud of themselves, would require to let their talent speak rather than singing your own praises.

Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav, Stuart Binny, Harbhajan Singh, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sanju Samson and many others house the talent to put their best foot forward, but the chink in India’s shield has to be removed if the teams wants to practice much prior to the upcoming series against South Africa that is to be held soon in the Indian shores. With some dynamic cricketers in limited over game, India can think of being victorious and keep their heads held high. If

But is that gonna be that easy is the biggest question at present. Having AB de Villiers, JP Duminy,   in the squad, South Africans are not going to turn things simple at all for the rivals. A fresh start is what the guests would probably look forward to. If a victory is pocketed at this stage, the pressure to perform will automatically shift on the shoulders of Indian bating and bowling lineup.

If a correct picture is to be painted then India would love to conclude impending series with success in opposition to South Africa, who are set to fly in India. It would be interesting to notice who get the opportunity of being in the playing XI and get the most out of playing in familiar conditions. Let us wait and watch which group proves its dominance over the other to take a lead of 1 – 0 in the beginning that will be imperative to progress confidently in the entire series. Eyes are struck on the list of probables. Those who earn the chance to play would need to perform at the best of their abilities bearing in mind the strengths of contender.
