Novak Djokovic Defeats Roger Federer in US Open Final to Add another Feather in His Cap

novakNew Delhi, Wednesday, September 16 – The grand finale of the US open between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer a couple of days ago caught the attention. A number of celebrities were the eminent guests to catch the action live. The jam-packed stadium alone indicated that none wanted to miss the mega face-off between two ace tennis players.

Both Djokovic and Federer received loudest cheer from their fans as it was a kind of show what every tennis player look forward to witness. The TV viewership was reported high as well since viewers got glued to their television screens to watch the live match between Djokovic and Federer.

The audience enjoyed long rallies between the finalists which were brilliant to watch. Sometimes it was Serbian player who showed his strong points, while on a few occasions, it was Swiss star who carried on showing his rival why experience counts more than newness. But Federer couldn’t find the way to beat the 28-year-old Djokovic who logged 6–4, 5–7, 6–4, 6–4 win on him.

The 34-year-old Federer lost the first set but winning the second one made the world No. 2 tennis star heave a sigh of relief as the match could have inclined anywhere. Federer left no stone unturned in winning the second set, making the contest more interesting and leveling it at 1-1. However, Novak was simply outstanding in third and fourth sets winning by 6–4 and 6–4. As the match progressed, it was perhaps the amazing exhibition of the talent by Djokovic that took away Federer from registering a victory. Grueling final was won by Djokovic, who poured more than hundred per cent efforts to win the US Open men’s final.

As like true gentlemen, both players praised each other’s hard work that made them reach to the finals of US Open.  Djokovic was able put best foot forward by defeating J. Souza, A. Haider-Maurer, A. Seppi, R. Bautista Agut, F. Lopez, M. Cilic and finally Roger to lift the winner’s trophy at the end, while Federer thrashed S. Wawrinka, R. Gasquet, J. Isner, P. Kohlschreiber, S. Darcis and L. Mayer at different round of the Men’s Singles to be a finalist.
