Young Voices Eye Win at Grand Finale of ‘Indian Idol Junior’

idNew Delhi, Tuesday, September 1 – When the second season of ‘Indian Idol Junior’ was aired on May 30, 2015, it was expected that young kids from different corners  will take everyone by surprise. Hundreds of thousands of children took part in the auditions to let the world see their hidden talent.

The confident kids made the judges Vishal Dadlani, Salim Merchant and Shalmali Kholgade be in a state of shock during first phase of the competition. Sonakshi Sinha joined the judging panel post auditions. It was hard to believe for them how gifted are the children who managed to qualify for further rounds after getting the golden ticket.

Top 13 entertained for several weeks and now the show has entered into the final stages. Sreelakshmi Belmannu, Ajay Brijwasi, Yumna Ajin, Surender Singh Panwar, Vidhi Jaswal, Subhankar Sarkar, Niharika Nath and Ranita Banerjee spellbound listeners through melodious voices before being eliminated.

Moti Khan, a talented folk singer for Barmer, Rajasthan, was eliminated last week. Despite the fact that he is not one of the finalists, his beautiful voice has made him get a specific place in the hearts viewers who follow Indian Idol Junior every week.  Nithyashree Venkataramanan from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Vaishnav Girish from Thrissur, Kerala, Nahid Afrin from Biswanath Chariali, Assam and Ananya Sritam Nanda from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, are the finalists. Eyes are struck on the winner as he/she would win a cash prize of Rs. 25 lakh from Sony Entertainment Television. Other prizes from sponsors of this program are also to be distributed once the winner is announced.
